Frequently asked questions
Common questions about how Tariflo works, what's included on each plan, and how estimates are put together.
It estimates the landed cost of importing a product — goods cost, inbound shipping and insurance, duty, additional tariffs, brokerage and customs clearance fees, and applicable taxes — so you can see the true cost and profitability of a shipment before you place an order.
No. Tariflo produces planning estimates, not customs, legal, tax, or financial advice. Classification and duty determinations are ultimately made by the relevant customs authority, and for anything commercially significant we recommend confirming figures with a licensed customs broker. See our Disclaimer page for details.
Destination support currently covers importing into Canada and the United States, with more destinations planned. The calculator supports goods sourced from a wide range of origin countries.
We aim for estimates that are close enough to plan around, based on the classification, rates, and inputs you provide. Actual amounts assessed at the border can differ due to classification nuances, valuation, exchange rate movement, or rules changing after your estimate was generated — so treat every result as an estimate, not a quote.
We offer a Free plan alongside paid Starter and Pro plans with higher monthly calculation limits, unlimited saved calculations, scenario comparison, the What-If simulator, and PDF export. See our Pricing page for current plan details and pricing.
Yes. Scenario Comparison lets you line up multiple calculations side by side, and the What-If simulator lets you adjust inputs like quantity, freight cost, or duty rate to see the impact on landed cost and margin. Both are available on paid plans.
Yes. You can save a calculation as your estimate and later compare it against the actual costs once a shipment clears, so you can see how close your planning numbers were.
