Terms of Service

Last updated: September 6, 2026

This is a template Terms of Service and has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Replace before real-world/production use with counsel-reviewed terms appropriate for your jurisdiction.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or otherwise using Tariflo (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

2. Description of the service

Tariflo is a calculation and estimation tool that helps you model landed cost, duties, tariffs, and profitability for imported goods. It is not customs, legal, tax, or financial advice, and it is not a substitute for a licensed customs broker or professional advisor. See our Disclaimer for details on the limits of the estimates the Service provides.

3. Account registration

You're responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information when creating an account and to keep it up to date.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Some features of the Service require a paid subscription. Current plans and pricing are described on our Pricing page. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us (via Stripe) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account billing settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. Refunds are not guaranteed and are handled case-by-case at our discretion — contact us at support@tariffcalculator.app if you believe you were billed in error.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service — including attempting to disrupt or gain unauthorized access to it, reverse-engineering it, reselling access without our permission, or using it for any unlawful purpose.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, code, and content, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. You retain ownership of the data you enter into the Service; you grant us the right to process it in order to provide the Service to you.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that estimates produced by the Service will match the actual duties, taxes, or fees assessed by any customs authority.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any losses arising from decisions made in reliance on estimates or other output from the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction — to be finalized], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above, and for material changes we'll make a reasonable effort to notify active users.
